Today begins with a visit to the Postojna Cave. Hop on the electric train, the world’s first railway in an underground cave, for a ride through 14 miles of stunning ice formations developed over centuries. When the train drops you off, continue on foot through meandering pathways and tunnels to explore extraordinarily shaped natural columns and pillars. Proceed to witness the steady dripping of water along the dazzling white curves of the stalagmite known as ‘Brilliant.’ Take a tour of the Concert Hall, the largest inside a cave system, where live performances are held regularly. After this fascinating visit, you’ll journey to Predjama Castle, a remarkable Renaissance castle that clings to a sheer cliff-face at the mouth of another of the region’s immense caves, with its upper-floor stairwells carved from the bedrock.
Today, you’ll leave Ljubljana and continue to Bled, where you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride on the stunning lake. As you glide across the emerald-green waters, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding Julian Alps and the charming island with its iconic church. Don’t miss the chance to visit the historic Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff and offering panoramic vistas of the lake and the town below. After soaking in the serene beauty of Bled, you’ll embark on an easy 3-hour hike through the breathtaking Vintgar Gorge. Marvel at the crystal-clear waters, cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery as you traverse the wooden pathways and bridges.

In the afternoon, return to Bled and have the rest of the day to explore the quaint town at your leisure.
Today you’ll head back to Ljubljana via Slovenia’s Karst Region, renowned for its unique landscapes and cultural heritage. You’ll visit the picturesque village of Štanjel, known for its medieval architecture, beautiful gardens, and the iconic Ferrari Garden. Wander through the charming streets, explore the historic castle, and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. After your visit to Štanjel, you’ll head to the picturesque Vipava Valley, known for its rolling vineyards and exceptional wines. Here, you’ll enjoy a delightful wine-tasting experience, sampling a variety of local wines that reflect the rich terroir of the region.
At the end of the day, you’ll return to Ljubljana and have the rest of the evening to explore on your own.
Today you’ll join a cooking class where you’ll learn from a local chef as you prepare a four-course meal based on traditional Slovenian cuisine. Whether you actively participate or simply observe, you’re guaranteed to have some laughs, learn a lot, taste plenty of delicious food, and have a blast.
The menu includes a cold-cut appetizer, warm starter, main dish, and dessert. The menu is adjusted seasonally, using fresh ingredients from local farms or the nearby market. This ensures you get the authentic blend you’re looking for when cooking up something local.
The rest of the day is yours to do final souvenir shopping or stroll the quaint streets of Ljubljana one last time.
