Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at the airport in Milan, you’ll be privately transferred approx. 2 hours to your hotel for the next three nights in Benevello.

Located in the picturesque Piedmont region, Benevello is a small town known for its excellent wine, truffle foraging, historic castles, and scenic countryside painted with rolling hills, vineyards, and forests.

Day 4: Castles, Medieval Villages, and Valle d'Aosta

Today you’ll depart from Benevello and travel to Cogne in the Valle d’Aosta. Along the way, visit Bard, a beautifully preserved village at the gateway to the Aosta Valley. You’ll have free time to explore its quiet, atmospheric streets, lined with medieval buildings, artisan shops, and inviting cafés. Overlooking the town is the impressive Fort of Bard, a 19th-century fortress that hosts exhibitions and the Museum of the Alps.

From Bard you’ll visit the iconic Castle of Fénis, one of the most iconic castles in the Aosta Valley. Once the residence of the powerful Challant family, this well-preserved medieval fortress showcases both defensive architecture and refined noble interiors. As you explore its towers, courtyards, and halls adorned with frescoes and stonework, you’ll gain insight into the life and legacy of the region’s aristocracy during the Middle Ages.

Finally, arrive in Cogne and check into your hotel for the next four nights.

Spend the day in the Courmayeur and the Mont Blanc region, one of the most breathtaking areas in the Alps. After breakfast, you’ll travel to the alpine village of Courmayeur, nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc.

Ride a cable car ride from La Palud to Punta Helbronner, soaring to an altitude of 3,462 meters and offering unparalleled panoramic views of Europe’s highest peaks, including Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn, and Gran Paradiso. At the top, take in the stunning 360-degree vistas from the panoramic terrace.

From Punta Helbronner, enjoy a gentle 3-hour-long mostly-flat hike leading to Lac Bleu, a serene alpine lake with crystal-clear waters that mirror the dramatic backdrop of surrounding glaciers and mountain peaks.

After descending, return to your hotel in Cogne.

Day 6: Hike in Gran Paradiso National Park

Today you’ll head to Gran Paradiso National Park. Starting from the village of Lillaz, you’ll set out on a 7.5 mile hike, taking approximately 2.5 hours.

The hike begins with a visit to the Lillaz Waterfalls, where the Urtier stream cascades dramatically in three tiers, offering a perfect photo opportunity. From there, the trail climbs steadily through a forested path, eventually leading to Loie Lake—an alpine gem set against a backdrop of rugged peaks and open sky.

After the hike, you’ll make your way back to the hotel, with the rest of the day at your leisure.
