Day 1: Welcome to Egypt

Welcome to Cairo, where your Egypt adventure begins. Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll have a VIP meet-and-greet with a staff member who will assist you with customs before introducing you to your waiting local guide. With your guide, you’ll transfer to your hotel for the next three nights, and will have the rest of the day to unwind and explore at your leisure.

On the banks of the famed river Nile, the city of Cairo is the center of Egyptian culture and commerce. A melting pot of history, culture and diversity and the Fairmont Nile City sits in the midst of it all. Day 2: The Pyramids of Giza and the Newly Opened Grand Egyptian Museum

Today begins with a visit to the Pyramids, one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Your visit includes a tour with an Egyptologist and includes entry to the Pyramid of Chephren. Continue to take in the view of the Pyramids as you enjoy a delicious lunch consisting of traditional and tasty Egyptian cuisine.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Considered to be one of the most impressive museums in the world, you’ll discover an impressive collection of ancient artifacts alongside your private guide.

Day 3: Cairo in Depth

After breakfast, set out for a visit to the vibrant Khan El Khalili market. Explore the old colorful bazaars, impressive mosques, and Koranic schools, including the famous Coptic Hanging Church. After lunch at an iconic spot in Old Cairo, you’ll spend the afternoon at the National Museum of Civilization, home to the fascinating Royal Mummies.

Day 4: Fly South and Begin Nile River Cruise

Today you’ll catch an early flight down to Aswan, where your Nile River cruise departs. Upon arrival in Aswan, you’ll enjoy an afternoon tour with your private guide, visiting the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and Philae Temple. Relax in the warm breeze on a traditional felucca (Egyptian sailboat) as you sail past the islands of the Nile. Finally, you’ll board your cruise and enjoy your first night onboard.

Day 5: Along the Nile: Aswan to Esna

Tour the iconic temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo, and end your day with a sundowner as you watch the sunset from your ship’s sundeck.

Day 6: Sail to Luxor

Day 7: From Luxor to Amman

Upon arrival at your desert lodge, you might have time to visit Petra today as well.
