Welcome to Indonesia! Upon arrival in Bali you will be met by your private guide and driver and transferred to your hotel in Ubud. The rest of the day will be free to relax and settle in as your family begins its adventure together.
Surrounded by rice paddies and tropical forest just outside Ubud, Kappa Senses Ubud offers a modern sanctuary rooted in Balinese culture and wellness. Villas and suites are designed with natural woods, soft textiles, and private outdoor spaces—many with plunge pools and views of the surrounding greenery. The resort emphasizes holistic experiences, from yoga and meditation to spa treatments inspired by traditional healing practices. Guests can savor Indonesian and international cuisine at the restaurants, lounge by the infinity pool, or explore Ubud’s temples, markets, and art galleries nearby.
Alternative lodging options: Royal Pita Maha , The Kayon Jungle Resort , Mandapa
Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You may wish to simply unwind at your hotel and enjoy its facilities, or begin to explore all that Ubud has to offer.
*Includes: Breakfast
Begin the day with hotel pick-up and a scenic breakfast overlooking Mount Batur and Lake Batur. After, set off on a 15 mile downhill cycling route along rural backroads, passing rice fields, local villages, and lush countryside.
Stop to visit a traditional Balinese home and meet local residents. For those interested, there’s an option to cycle through rice paddies for a more immersive experience. The ride ends with lunch in Tegalalang, known for its terraced landscapes.
Return to your hotel to relax before heading out for a traditional Indonesian dinner and cultural dance performance at Pura Saraswati temple in central Ubud.
*Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Join an Ubud local, Sang Made, and his family for a Balinese cooking class. Begin with a visit to a local market outside Ubud to select fresh ingredients while learning about the herbs and spices central to Balinese cooking.
The hands-on class takes place in Sang Made’s traditional family compound, Lobong, where you’ll prepare a variety of dishes using time-honored techniques. Enjoy the meal you’ve helped create in a peaceful garden setting.
In the afternoon, head into the tropical forest for a rafting trip on the Ayung River. Navigate Class 3 rapids through lush scenery, with stops to admire waterfalls and swim in calm pools. The experience ends in Karangdalem, where hot showers and views of the river valley await.
*Includes: Breakfast, Lunch
Begin your morning with a gourmet picnic breakfast in the hotel’s permaculture garden, featuring a seasonal, locally sourced menu served in a peaceful natural setting. After check-out, depart Ubud for the southern coast, stopping en route to visit the Bali Bird Park, home to a wide variety of native and exotic species.
Arrive in Sanur by late afternoon. Located on Bali’s southeastern coast, Sanur is a relaxed seaside town known for its golden beaches, calm waters, and family-friendly atmosphere. The beachfront promenade stretches for miles – perfect for sunset walks or bike rides – and the area offers excellent dining, local shops, and a quieter pace compared to the island’s busier resort areas.
Tandjung Sari is a historic boutique hotel set directly on Sanur Beach, founded in the 1960s as one of Bali’s first luxury resorts. Its cottages and villas are built in traditional Balinese style with thatched roofs, carved wood details, and private gardens, some with open-air pavilions and outdoor showers. Facilities include a beachfront swimming pool, a restaurant serving Indonesian and international cuisine, a library, and tropical gardens filled with sculptures and art. The hotel also offers cultural performances, yoga sessions, and direct access to Sanur’s calm beach and seaside promenade.
Alternative lodging options: Andaz Bali , Segara Village Hotel
Begin the day in Bakas village with your local guide, Little Wayan. Enjoy local snacks at a traditional warung before walking through farmland and learning about rural Balinese life. Visit Wayan’s family compound, join in kite-making, music, and dance at the community center, and take part in a temple visit and blessing ceremony.
In the evening, walk to the Fireflies Conservation Centre to learn about their life cycle and habitat. After a visit to the lab and a stroll through their natural environment, enjoy a traditional dinner with either a hands-on cooking activity or a live demonstration. End the night with quiet firefly viewing.
This morning, you’ll visit the Turtle Conservation and Education Center on Serangan Island, just south of Sanur. Founded in 2006 through a partnership between the Bali government, WWF, and local communities, the center works to combat the illegal turtle trade and protect endangered sea turtles.
Explore hatcheries and rehabilitation tanks, meet turtles at various stages of recovery, and learn about the center’s efforts to collect eggs, raise hatchlings, and release them into the wild.
Return to your hotel around midday, where the afternoon is free to relax or explore Sanur at your own pace.
Enjoy a private full-day island escape to Nusa Lembongan. Begin with a welcome drink at Serangan Harbour before setting off across the water, taking in views of the coastline as you cruise.
The day’s activities are yours to decide: swim in clear bays, snorkel over coral reefs, paddleboard, or relax on deck. A light lunch is served onboard, and snorkeling gear, SUP boards, and sea mattresses are available throughout the day.
Return to Bali in the late afternoon with a scenic sunset cruise, followed by private transfer back to your hotel.
More adventure awaits today as you dive into one of Bali’s most iconic activities with a beginner-friendly surf lesson. Bali is internationally known for world-class surf spots, which attracts many world-champions of surf every year. Led by experienced instructors, you’ll learn the fundamentals: board handling, paddling, wave selection, and how to stand, along with an essential ocean safety briefing before heading into the water.
Today you’ll head to Bali’s southern coast to explore the Bukit Peninsula, known for its dramatic cliffs and iconic beaches.
Visit the white sands and turquoise waters of Uluwatu, then continue to Uluwatu Temple, perched on a limestone bluff overlooking the Indian Ocean. As the sun sets, enjoy a traditional kecak dance performance in the temple’s open-air theater before heading back to the hotel in Sanur.
Enjoy a full day at your leisure in Sanur. You might take a morning walk or bike ride along the beachfront promenade, visit the Le Mayeur Museum, or explore local artisan shops and cafés. The calm waters make it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or trying stand-up paddleboarding.
Alternatively, unwind with a beachfront massage or simply relax at your hotel and soak up the laid-back atmosphere.
