Day 1: Welcome to Jordan

Welcome to Amman, the vibrant capital of Jordan. As one of the world’s oldest cities, Amman has been inhabited since the Bronze Age and continues to evolve into the modern era, all while preserving its rich history and unique charm.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your airport assistant and private driver, who will transport you to your accommodation. Depending on what time your flight arrives and how you want to spend your first day in Jordan, you can opt to do a guided city tour, or join a cooking class to learn about how to prepare tasty Jordanian cuisine.

Along the way, enjoy a leisurely stop at Mount Nebo, where you can take in breathtaking views and visit significant religious landmarks. If you choose, make a detour to explore Shobek Castle before continuing on to Madaba, renowned for its stunning mosaics, including the famous 6th-century map of the Holy Land.

After lunch, experience your first glimpse of Petra at Siq al-Barid, also known as ‘Little Petra.’ This lesser-known gem, located within the larger archaeological park, features several structures carved into narrow sandstone canyons.
