Day 1: Arrive in Hobart

Welcome to Tasmania! Upon arrival in Hobart/nipaluna, you’ll have the rest of the day at your leisure to settle in and explore at your own pace. Set between the River Derwent and Mount Wellington, Hobart offers a blend of colonial architecture, working docks, and a growing food and arts scene.

Depending on your interests, time of arrival, and energy, you may choose to visit nearby highlights such as the Port Arthur Historic Site, take in panoramic views from Mount Wellington, or simply enjoy a relaxed afternoon at your hotel or strolling the waterfront.

Day 3: Bruny Island and the Huon Valley

Day 5: Hobart to Freycinet

Today you’ll enjoy a scenic full-day transfer from Hobart to Freycinet. Departing Hobart, travel in comfort through the picturesque Coal River Valley with the option to partake in a whiskey tasting at Sullivan’s Cove Distillery (additional cost). Pause in the historic town of Richmond for morning tea and a look at Australia’s oldest bridge, then continue along Tasmania’s east coast, known for its cool-climate wines and coastal charm. Stop at local cellar doors for wine tastings, enjoy a gourmet vineyard lunch, and sample regional specialties like farm-fresh oysters or small-batch spirits.
