Destination Specialist

A native Californian, Janie has slowly journeyed from the south to the north and now calls the Bay Area home. She graduated from UC San Diego with degrees in Political Science and Chinese Studies, and spent a year living, studying and traveling around China by bike, bus, train, plane, boat, and even camelback. She fell in love with the vibrant cultures and cuisines of Asia and has trekked the Kyaingtong hill tribe region in Burma, slurped amazing beef noodle soup in Taipei, snorkeled off the eastern coast of Sri Lanka, and meandered around the picturesque alleys of Hoi An. When she’s not traveling or planning trips for others, she and her husband can be found hiking, biking, fishing in the southern Sierras, cooking, baking or accompanying their daughters on birding expeditions.
